Center
for School Mental Health Assistance
The Center provides leadership and technical assistance to advance
effective interdisciplinary school-based mental health programs,
strives to support schools and communities in the development of
programs that are accessible, family-centered, culturally sensitive,
and responsive to local needs. They offer a forum for training, the
exchange of ideas, and the promotion of coordinated systems of care
that provide a full continuum of services to enhance mental health,
development and learning in youth.
Child Welfare
Information Gateway
Child Welfare Information Gateway connects professionals and
concerned citizens to timely, essential information and resources
targeted to the safety, permanency and well-being of children and
families.
Children’s
Bureau Express
Children's Bureau Express is designed for professionals concerned with
child abuse and neglect, child welfare and adoption. Children's Bureau
Express is supported by the Children's Bureau, Administration for
Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and
published by the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect
Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse.
Children's Safety Network
This Center works with maternal and child health (MCH), public health,
and other injury prevention practitioners to provide technical
assistance and information, facilitate the implementation and
evaluation of injury prevention programs and conduct analytical and
policy activities that improve injury and violence prevention. he Children's Safety Network Injury Data Technical Assistance Center
assists regional, state and local agencies and organizations with
gathering and using information about the occurrence of injuries and
the prevalence of risk factors to identify problems, focus program
responses, and evaluate prevention programs. Data on injury
occurrence and costs are available for each of the 50 US states.
Emergency
Medical Services for Children National Resource Center
The Emergency Medical Services for Children Program is a
national initiative designed to reduce child and youth disability and
death due to severe illness and injury. Medical personnel, parents and
volunteers, community groups and businesses, and national organizations
and foundations all contribute to the effort. HRSA administers the
program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation's
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
National Abandoned Infants Assistance Resource Center
The Center provides training, technical assistance, research and
resource development and information to professionals to enhance the
quality of social and health services offered to families and their
children who are abandoned or at risk of abandonment due to perinatal
substance abuse and/or HIV. The Center generates and disseminates
training and information on a wide range of child welfare and HIV and
drug issues, particularly as they relate to the safety, well-being and
permanence of children.
National
Center on Child Fatality Review
The NCFR web site offers the visitor a wide variety of options,
including a searchable database of individuals and organizations
involved in the field of child fatality review. In addition, the web
site offers each state the opportunity to post data or reports re:
their state's activities. The site also has areas that offer the user
links to other child fatality related sites on the Internet. Also, the
NCFR site offers child fatality review professionals the opportunity to
join closed e-mail groups, or "listservs," which facilitate the free
sharing of questions, answers and opinions among peers.

Center for Injury Prevention and Control
The National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) works to
reduce morbidity, disability, mortality and costs associated with
injuries.
National
Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome
The National Center on SBS, located in Ogden, Utah, offers shaken baby
syndrome prevention programs and training throughout the nation. The
website contains a list of resources and prevention materials.
National Children’s Center
for Rural and Agricultural
Health and Safety
This Center strives to enhance the health and safety of all children
exposed to hazards associated with agricultural work and rural
environments.
National
Citizens Review Panels
Citizens Review Panels (CRP) are groups of citizen-volunteers who are
federally mandated to conduct an evaluation of their state's child
protective services agency. This site contains information about each
state's CRP, including annual reports, training materials and other
useful information.

Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges: Permanency Planning
for Children Department
The mission of the The Permanency Planning for Children Department at
the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges is to provide
an environment for change by supporting and facilitating dependency
court teams and by providing education and technical assistance to
enable courts nationwide to meet their goals to improve practice in
child abuse and neglect cases.
National Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative
The mission of
the National Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative (NDVFRI) is
to provide technical assistance for the reviewing of domestic violence
related deaths with the underlying objectives of preventing them in the
future, preserving the safety of battered women, and holding
accountable both the perpetrators of domestic violence and the multiple
agencies and organizations that come into contact with the parties.
National Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Program
NFIMR is a resource center providing information and advice about
implementing the fetal and infant mortality review method. Topics
include confidentiality, liability, data collection, home interview
techniques, coalition building, taking recommendations to action,
coordinating with other local mortality reviews and using local FIMR
information for regional/state assessment and planning. Referrals to
expert consultants are available.
National Initiative to Improve Adolescent Health
The National Initiative to Improve Adolescent Health by the Year
2010 was created to elevate the national focus on the health and
well-being of adolescents and young adults (aged 10–24 years) by
addressing the most serious health and safety issues facing this
population

Resource Center on Child Maltreatment
The National Resource Center on Child Maltreatment (NRCCM) is supported
by a cooperative agreement with the Children’s Bureau, Administration
for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services. They provide information, training, and technical assistance
to state, local, and tribal child protection agencies.
National
Resource Center for Community-Based Family Resource and Support
Programs
FRIENDS provides training and technical assistance to lead agencies
implementing the Community-Based Family Resource and Support (CBFRS)
grant program in the following key areas: parent leadership training,
family resource and support programs and services, services to diverse
populations, establishment of respite care programs, and creation of
funding strategies. Requests for services are initiated by CBFRS State
lead agencies.

Resource Center for Family Centered Practice
This Center provides technical assistance, staff training, research and
evaluation, and library research on family-based programs and issues to
public and private human services agencies in states, counties, and
communities across the United States.
National Resource Center for Foster Care and
Permanency Planning
Located at the Hunter College School of Social Work, this center is a
training, technical assistance, and information services organization
dedicated to increasing the capacity of child welfare agencies to
provide children with safe, permanent families in supportive
communities.
National Resource Center of Legal and Judicial Issues
The Resource Center provides training, technical assistance and
consultation to agencies and courts on all legal and judicial aspects
of the child welfare system, including court improvement, agency and
court collaboration, court process, reasonable efforts requirements,
legal representation of children and their families, guardianship,
confidentiality and other emerging child welfare issues.
National Resource Center for Special Needs
Adoption/Spaulding for Children
The Center works with States, Tribes and other agencies to increase the
number of children with special needs who are adopted and to improve
the effectiveness and quality of adoption and post-adoption services
provided to them and their families.
National
Resource Center for Youth Development
The University of Oklahoma National Resource Center for Youth
Development (NRCYD) increases the capacity and resources of States and
Tribes to effectively help youth in care establish permanent
connections and achieve successful transitions to adulthood. The Center
can help States incorporate youth into all areas of programs and
services, implement services that address legislative requirements,
prepare for Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSR) and Program
Improvement Plan (PIP) development, and implementation. The Center
bases its technical assistance and training around the four core
principles of, youth development, collaboration, cultural competence,
and permanent connections.
National
SAFE KIDS Campaign
The National SAFE KIDS Campaign is the first and only national
non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of
unintentional childhood injury — the number one killer of children ages
14 and under.

SIDS Resource Center
The Center provides information services and technical assistance on
SIDS and related topics. The goal is to promote understanding of SIDS
and provide comfort to those affected by SIDS through information
sharing.

Suicide Prevention Resource Center
SPRC draws upon the expertise and resources of partner organizations to
offer the best in suicide prevention practices through technical
assistance, training, conferences and web-based resources.

Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center
The NYVPRC contains comprehensive information about youth violence,
suicide prevention and intervention, the effects of terrorism on
children and strategies to fostering resiliency. The site also contains
fact sheets, best practices and research.
Prevention Institute
Prevention Institute is a non-profit national center dedicated to
improving community health and well-being by building momentum for
effective primary prevention. Primary prevention means taking action to
build resilience and to prevent problems before they occur. The
Institute's work is characterized by a strong commitment to community
participation and promotion of equitable health outcomes among all
social and economic groups.
SAMHSA's
National Mental Health Information Center: Center for Mental
Health Services
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's
(SAMHSA) National Mental Health Information Center provides information
about mental health via a toll-free telephone number (800-789-2647), a
web site and more than 600 publications.
The National Mental Health Information Center was developed for users
of mental health services and their families, the general public,
policy makers, providers and the media.
Information Center staff members are skilled at listening and
responding to questions from the public and professionals. The staff
quickly directs callers to Federal, State and local organizations
dedicated to treating and preventing mental illness. The Information
Center also has information on Federal grants, conferences, and other
events.
Traumatic
Brain Injury Technical Assistance Center
The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Technical Assistance Center assists
states in the planning and development of effective programs that
improve access to health and other services for individuals with TBI
and their families.
UCLA
Center for Mental Health in Schools
The National Center for Mental Health in Schools was
established in 1995. Their mission and aims are to improve outcomes for
young people by enhancing the field of mental health in schools by
enhancing policies, programs and practices.
